She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Stonewall Jackson Kidd and Bessie Lee Tyree Kidd; her former husband Howard D. Wilcher; her husband Ernest Obenshain; and her siblings, Stuart Eugene Kidd, Jesse "Budd" Kidd, Etsel "Midge" Kidd Hughes, Margaret "Pat" Mays and Katherine Kidd Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sara Wilcher Zeek (John) of Clifton Forge and Janet Leigh Wilcher (James Davis) of Bonsack; her grandchildren, Jenny Zeek of Clifton Forge and Thomas Howard Zeek (Brigette) of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandchildren, Merridith Schmeidler of Clifton Forge, Liam John Zeek of Las Vegas, NV and Lola Jane Zeek of Las Vegas, NV; her stepdaughters, Cynthia Reinhart (Brian) and Victoria Darby; her close friends, Barbara Vest, Becky Pendleton, Charles Cowley, Tina Dunbar and Gloria Jones; and her pets, Flower, Nathan and Jax. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
