He is survived by: his siblings, Nelson, Charles Jr., Earsey Godfrey, Mary Young, Brenda Arnold and Julia Johnson; his children, Celeste Allen (Michael) and Edward Godfrey Jr. (Lisa); his stepsons, Timothy Cooper of Florida and Troy Cooper of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Tahira, Tiana, Tamia and Andon; and his half-brother Vincent Cooper of Clifton Forge, VA.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a vast network of friends.
