Douglas Claytor Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Claytor (Clifton Forge, Virginia), who passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Claytor and Effie B. Sprouse Claytor; his wife Ila Chestnut Claytor; and his siblings, Elsie Doyle, Corrinne Thomas, Edna Harris, Naomi Sprouse, Linwood Claytor and Denver Claytor.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Edwards (Douglas) of Fredericksburg, Carol R. Claytor of Clifton Forge and Douglas O. Claytor (Kelly Nichols) of Hampton; his siblings, Drucilla White (Winfred) of Charlotte, NC and James Claytor of Augusta Springs; his grandchildren, Matthew Edwards, David Edwards, Travis Claytor (Morgan), Kyle Claytor, Kaitlyn Claytor and Heather Claytor; and his great grandchild Finnley Claytor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Due to current COVID health concerns, the funeral service will be private for the family.
