He was predeceased by: his father George L. Wilson; his siblings, George Leon Wilson and Alma W. Norcross; and his great grandchild Ellie Marie Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Spangler Wilson of Clifton Forge; his children, Eugene Wilson (Donna), Sandra Wilson Andrews (Bob) of Covington and Angela Wilson Thompson (Timmy) of Covington; his siblings, Robert L. Wilson of Covington, Mary W. Thompson of Iron Gate and Frances W. Thompson of Covington; and his close friend Jim Simmons. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Victory Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 2, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.
