He is survived by: his wife Jane Gilbert Linkenhoker of Clifton Forge; his children, Lisa Linkenhoker Hall of Clifton Forge, David Preston Linkenhoker, Jr. of Roanoke and Mark Linkenhoker (Melissa) of Clifton Forge; his siblings, Patricia Tucker of Covington and Paul Linkenhoker (Brenda) of Covington; and his grandchildren, David Preston Linkenhoker III, Eric Linkenhoker, Brett Linkenhoker, Joseph Linkenhoker, Tyler Linkenhoker, Logan Linkenhoker, Michael Hall, Caleb Hall, Samuel Hall, Dorothy and Josh. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
