He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Brown and Edith Brackenridge Brown; his brothers, Kevin and Daniel Brown; his granddaughter Moriah Brown-Holloway; and his brother-in-law Gary Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Shari Anderson Brown of Clifton Forge; his children, James Moore (Erica) of Virginia Beach, VA, Jennifer Brown of Clifton Forge and D. Andrew Brown (Katie) of Courtland, VA; his stepchildren, Melissa Guill of Newport News, VA and Steven Guill (Aimee) of Midlothian, VA; his grandchildren, Trevor Brown, Lillian Moore, Magnolia Moore, Hunter Moore, Coleman Brown, Lindsay Brown, Bennett Brown, Alice Kate Brown and Lois Guill; his siblings, Pam Thurston (David) of Eagle Rock, Cindy Hayslett (Lonnie) of Eagle Rock, Dreama Robinson of Clifton Forge, Mary Jo Irvin (Larry) of Clifton Forge and Barry Brown (Irma) of Clifton Forge; his mother-in-law Phyllis Anderson of Hampton, VA; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Anderson of Newport News, VA and Jodi Ward (Michael) of York County, VA; and his close friend Tristan Madison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Nicely Funeral Home an hour prior to the service, and suggests that memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
