She was predeceased by: her father Luther Owens. She is survived by: her husband Oscar Lee Smith of Covington; her sons, Dale A. Smith (Tonia) of Covington, Todd Smith (Tracie) of Selma and Matthew Allen Owens of Covington; and her siblings, Patricia Tingler of Salem, Barry Owens of New Castle and Luther Owens, Jr. of Powhatan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the First Christian Church, 231 E. Fudge St., Covington, Va 24426.
