She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Theodore "Pedro" Newcomb and Eva Loan Newcomb; her sister Sue Newcomb; and her son-in-law Daniel Brown. She is survived by: her husband Michael "Mike" Shanks of Millboro; her daughters, Denise Swearengin (Dennis) of Covington and Abby Brown of Staunton; her sister Debbie Ingram (Sammy) of Millboro; her grandson Colton Swearengin of Indiana; and her pets, Hank, Harley, Skidder, Stihl and Foxxy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Millboro Fire and Rescue.
