He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Emmett and Alice Patterson Jeffries; his wife Gladys DeVenny Jeffries; his son Bernard "Lynn" Jeffries, Jr.; his grandson Isaac D. Jeffries; and his siblings, Jerry Allen Jeffries, Edgar E. Jeffries, Glenn Jeffries, Ronald Jeffries and Doris Stinespring.
He is survived by: his children, Ellen J. Kormann (Joseph) of Roanoke and David A. Jeffries (Deborah) of Clifton Forge; his grandchildren, Matthew Hancock, Stephen Hancock, Mallory Dudley (Oler) and Dylan Jeffries; and his caregivers, Carol Anne Angle, Pat Conner, Linda Ball and Susan Wilhelm. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
