She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Anderson and Emma Trenor Anderson; her siblings, George, Shorty, Clayton, Herman, Delma, Ann, Betty, Mike, Madge, Beverly, Jack and Sharon; and her grandson John Taylor Kern.
She is survived by: her husband John Bernard "Johnny" Kern, Jr.; her sons, Scott Clay Kern (Flynn) of Louisa and Kevin Todd Kern (Sally) of Eagle Rock; her half-brother Dale Anderson of Eagle Rock; her grandchildren, Brandon Kern, Samantha Kern (Jerry), Amanda Kern (Korey), Kevin Kern (Lori) and Jake Kern (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Alexis, Carleigh, Kolt, Jake, Teagan, London and Conner; and her caregivers, Sandy Smith and Beverly Pendleton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nicely Funeral Home (405 Alleghany St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home (405 Alleghany St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422).
