She was predeceased by: her parents, James Haynes and Clara Spade Haynes; her husband Donald Richard Maddy; her son Stuart Maddy; and her siblings, Vella Bowyer and James Haynes.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Brooks (Philip) of Clifton Forge, Timothy Maddy (Lucy) of Orange County, Larry Maddy (Marsha) of Reidsville, Kerry Maddy (Lyn) of Haymarket and Kevin Maddy (Leisa) of Chester; her daughter-in-law Vickie Maddy Sulc of Chesterfield; her sister-in-law Peggy Haynes; her brothers, John Haynes (Becky) and Bobby Haynes; her brother-in-law Carroll Bowyer; her grandchildren, Travis Maddy, Theron Maddy, Justin Brooks, Sophie Maddy, Ivy Maddy, Alyson Maddy, Philip Brooks, Jr. and Candy Sabol; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Lyndie, Sawyer, Theron Jr., Kyle, Eymber, Austin, Hayden, Bryce and Seana. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
