He is survived by: his wife Billie Dove Barton (Combs); his children, Linda Rasnake of Abingdon, Kathy Fields of Castlewood, Mary Barton-Dean of Abingdon, Kenny Barton (Connie) and Stanley Barton (Lisa); and his siblings, Roger Barton, Alma Crabtree, Louise Rasnake, Catherine Rasnake, Virgie Rasnake, Retha Combs and Georgia "Jewel" Ramey. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
