It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James High of Cleveland, Virginia, born in Latexo, Texas, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Denning Levoy High and Wessie Lillian Nealey High; his son James High Jr.; and his father-in-law Charles Cecil Scogins. He is survived by: his daughter Ginger Jarrells (Bobby); his grandchildren, Daniel Jarrells, Blake Jarrells, Wyatt Jarrells, Isaac High, Tara Potts (J. C.), Shanna High, Cody High (Chelsea) and Kayla Pelkey; his great grandchildren, Levi Bayne, Raelynn Jarrells, Lauryn Alison, Kayleigh High, Waylon Potts, Nancy Howard and Shirley Buracker; and his mother-in-law Martha Scogins Schmidt (Tommy). He is also survived by one brother; several sisters.
