He is survived by: his children, Girard "Petey" Genevie, Jr. of Virginia, Lisa Lathom (Jerry) of New Brighton, Paul Genevie (Linda) of Laplata, MD and Richard Genevie (Lisa) of Poteau, OK; and his sister Catherine Hutsky of East Rochester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
