In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Willynda leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Willynda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Truman Puckett and Mary Sue Mills Puckett; her husband Harold Edward Holder; and her daughter Lisa Childress. She is survived by: her children, Donna Childress, Melanie Slate (Philip), Jeffrey Childress, Gerri Mazur (Eugene) and Trey Childress. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
