He was predeceased by: his wife Estelle Jones Cole; his parents, Fannie Comer Cole and James Ernest Cole; and his siblings, Estelle Gupton, Harry Cole and Gladys Newcomb.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Harris of Clarksville and Teresa Whitmire (John) of Danville; his grandchildren, Katherine Fisher (Brad), Daniel Harris (Kathryn), Jake Quinton Whitmire (Meredith) and John Quinton Whitmire, Jr. (Pamela); his great grandchildren, Bryton Fisher, Ryker Fisher, Mason Harris, Jackson Harris and Emily Whitmire; and his sister Barbara Cole Woltz.
