She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Lyons and Louise Carter; her husband Martin E. Brummell; and her sons, Martin E. Brummell, Jr. and Samuel M. Brummell, III.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence R. Brummell (Dorothy) of Clarksville, VA, Tracey D. Brummell of Fayetteville, NC, Mamie L. Terry (Randolph) of Clarksville, VA, Christine B. Daniel (Willie) of Nelson, VA and Jacquetta P. Bumpass (Dennis) of Oxford, NC. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law.
