He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Yancey and Inez Easley Yancey; his grandchildren, Felicia Baskerville, Christopher Roberts, Tyriek and Tyrell Harris; his great grandchild Jayda Jones; his siblings, Thomas, Preston, Marshall Yancey and Edna Yancey; and his son-in-law Matthew Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Yancey of Clarksville, VA; his children, Thomas Yancey (Toinette) of Stovall, NC, Joyce Yancey of Alexandria, VA, Linda Yancey of Clarksville, VA and Sheronda Yancey Harris of Clarksville, VA; and his siblings, Robert Lee Yancey (LaTonda) of Richmond, VA, Charles Yancey (Clara) of Fort Washington, MD, Dora Roberts of Washington, DC and Mary Gravitt of Washington, DC. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law.
