He was predeceased by: his parents, Luddie Ambrose Overby and Idenia Owen Overby; and his siblings, Ruth Terrell, Doris Jordan, Lucille West, Jane Yancey, Ann Champion, Mabel Thomas, Hilda Newton and Edwin Overby.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia T. Overby; his grandchildren, William Lane Sandifer and Madison T. Yancey; his children, Angela O. Yancey, Casina O. Sandifer (Roy) and Larry Lee Overby, Jr.; his brother Ray Overby of Arkansas; and his pet Darlin.
