He is survived by: his stepdaughter Eleanor Ware of Temple Hills, MD; his brother Matthew Pettus, Sr. of Clarksville, VA; his nieces, Mary Brooks, Carol Session and Pamela Lancaster; his nephew Leroy Pettus; and his friends, Gayle Barnette and Teresa James.
