He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Rosa Greene McBee; and his siblings, James Edward McBee, Jr., Howard L. McBee, John Arthur McBee, Emma Mae Puryear, Bertha Greene and Obie Sue Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Ardell McBee of Clarksville, VA; his children, George A. Lee, Sr. (Frances) of Graham, NC, Joe L. McBee, Jr. (Lisa) of Clarksville, VA, Angela Terry (Herbert) of Clarksville, VA and Pattie Morris of Clarksville, VA; and his sister Barbara Small of Nelson, VA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
