Elder Vernell Harper Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elder Vernell Harper of Clarksville, Virginia, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad Rhoades and Callie Harper; his wives, Marjorie Morris, Elderess Inez A. -Harper of Washington and Vernell Eaton Harper; his sisters, Rosa Lee, Esther Bell and Louise; and his stepsons, William and James of Washington.
He is survived by: his daughter Pastor Inez Delores Dillard; his stepchildren, Charles (Denise) of Washington, Benjamin (Janice) of Washington, Gloria Eaton, Evette, Dwight, David, Cornelius and Joshua; his grandchildren, Matthew Dillard, Jr. (Jennifer), Mario Dillard (Caryl), James, Jr. (Terry) of Washington, Gerald (Joy) of Washington, Alvin (Casey) of Washington and Michelle of Washington; his great grandchildren, Campbell Dillard, Christopher Askew, Aaries Askew, Erin Askew, Messiah Askew, Zyiion Askew, Jasmine of Washington, Adam of Washington, Jacob of Washington and Alex of Washington; his siblings, Ida Sutton of Morehead City, NC and Thad Rhoades of Tidewater, VA; his nieces and nephews, Esther, Kathryn Cooper, Reginald, Kenneth, Alexander, Thomas and Paul Jones; and his friends, Minister Frank Perkins, Pastor Florine Bell and Minister Barbara Hampton. He is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services, and we ask that you practice social distancing.
