He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harris and Pocahontas Harris; his friend Ella Brown (Butch); his stepson Michael Brown; and his brother John Harris.
He is survived by: his son Edward Lee Harris, III (Ebonie) of Raleigh, NC; his stepchildren, Isador Brown (Monique) of Burlington, NC, Rhonda B. Cypress (Anthony) of Clarksville, VA and Lakita J. Brown (Daniel) of Durham, NC; and his sisters, Gay Barksdale of South Boston, VA and Marie Harris of South Boston, VA. He is also survived by relatives and caring friends.
