He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy and Ruth. He is survived by: his wife May Belair; his children, Tina Hughes (Don) of Cary, Frank Hughes (Carol) of Virginia Beach and Joseph Hughes of Buffalo; his brothers, Gary Hughes (Mary) of Papillion and Mark Hughes (Kathy) of Wake Forest; and his cousins, Gale Bagwell of Simpsonville and Carol Davis.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home (703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA 23927).
