She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward S. Norwood and Nellie Dawson Norwood; and her husband Charles Philip Williams. She is survived by: her sister Martha N. Doster (Tom) of Athens, GA; and her cousins, Nancy Ayers of Clarksville, VA and Van Ellis (Carolyn) of Mebane, NC..
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Methodist Church (1725 Rock Spring Church Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to a local animal shelter or library, honoring her enduring love for animals and literature.
