She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Tuchscherer Laemmrich and Alex Laemmrich; her husband Richard Carl "Dick" Schaenzer; and her siblings, Sister Aimee Laemmrich and John Laemmrich.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Schaenzer (Denise) of Oxford, MI, Joyce Grainger (Jerry) of Raleigh, Mary Berls (Bill) of Raleigh and Ann Stott (Johnny) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Morgan Southerland (Matt), Natalie Picano (John), Jack Berls, Cole Schaenzer, Brad Schaenzer and John Stott, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Madison, John, Airlie, Camille and Camden; and her caregivers, Dianne Fulcher, Angela Fulcher and Diane Lynch.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (3275 US-158 BYP, Henderson, NC 27537). Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made the to the Women's Altar Guild at St. James Catholic Church, Henderson, NC.
