She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Akers and Viola Elizabeth Akers; and her husband John William Stephenson. She is survived by: her children, Jerry "J. J." and Kathy Stephenson Peebles (Paul Manning Peebles); her grandsons, Jerry Frost, Jason Gregory and Jonathan Gregory; and her great grandchildren, Brandon Young and Sawyer Dickinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who include special family friend.
