He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Warren and LaVera Howard (Shultz); and his siblings, William Howard, Warren Howard (Beverly), Samuel Howard (Gloria), John Howard and Irene Mintern (Pete).
He is survived by: his wife Jacklyn Joyce Sparling; his daughters, Aimee Taylor (Christopher) of Ashburn and Jenny Howard of Staunton; his sister Helen Roberts (Russell) of Lebanon, Ind.; his sisters-in-law, Jean Howard of Newtown and Shirley Howard of Springfiled, Ill.; and his granddaughters, Ellen Taylor and Lillian Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
