It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Long Whetzel of Churchville, Virginia, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Caroline Louise Runion; and her sister Patricia Moran. She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Whetzel of Churchville and Shena Whetzel (Tim) of Churchville; her stepdaughter Amber Smith of Churchville; her siblings, Denise Casady (Terry) of Mt. Solon and Jerry Long of Bridgewater; her brothers-in-law, Johnny "Mamps" Moran, Karah Davis, Kaiden Whetzel and Hudson Smith; her close friend Tom Viands; her nieces and nephews, Caroline, Addison, Bailey Casady and Tiffany Bond (John); and her children, Harley Sheets, John Patrick Moran Jr. and Ashton Wheeler (Chelsea).
