He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Susan Waybright (Mullenax); his wife Mary Bell Wimer; and his brothers, Randolph, Olin and Ocie Waybright.
He is survived by: his father Ray Waybright; his children, Kathy S. Hart (Gary McClung) of Troutville, Dianna C. Gordon (Edward) of Swoope, Lisa A. Taylor (Butch) of Grottoes, H. David Waybright of Staunton and L. Shane Waybright (Sue) of Churchville; his grandchildren, Ericka Martin of Roanoke, Rodney Elkins of Churchville, Brandy Waybright of Charlottesville, Christopher Waybright of Goshen, Seth Tumer of Craigsville and Madison Simmons of Goodview; his siblings-in-law, Garland Wimer of Churchville, Dallas of Monterey and Judy Waybright of Monterey; and his caregiver Debbie Wade. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
