She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Vernon and Rettie Griffin (Hamilton); her husband Frank Gayhart; and her siblings, Emma Sheets, Jewel Moyer, Lacy Cook, Lillian Shifflett, Virginia Marriott, Leon, Frank, Fred, Farry, Forest "Jack" and George Griffin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
