He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlyn Lee and Leola Jane Gum (McManamay); and his brother Robert C. "Bobby" Gum. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gum (Landes); and his daughters, Meghan Gum (Defines) and Fineout of Charlottesville.
