She was predeceased by: her parents, Clio Edgar Simmons and Irma Grace Harper Simmons; her significant other Bernard Paul Young; her siblings, Evelyn Taylor and Garland Simmons; and her nephew Mark Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Corder of Mount Solon, Ronald Young (Dawn) of Fishersville, Dale Young (Teresa) of Staunton and Wayne Young (Michele) of Mount Solon, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Gregory Corder (Kate), Chrissy Lopez Cotaina (Jose'), Carol Hilliard (Steve), Jessica Dobbs (Chance), Julie McClamrock (Bryce), Marla Poteat (Nick), Chris Young (Amy), Jody Rimel (Charlie) and Josh Young; her great grandchildren, Michael, Gabriel Corder, Joey, Rebekah Lopez Cotaina, Hannah, Sarah Hilliard, Braeden, Dawson Dobbs, Harper, Jax McClamrock, Briar Poteat, Ethan, Madison, Lillie, Serenity Young, Sven and Katrin Rimel; her nieces and nephews, Faye Utz, Joyce Mizer, Carol Dick, Reggie Simmons, Randy Simmons, Carlton Simmons and Teresa Simmons; and her sister-in-law Margie Metzger. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parnassus Cemetery or the Parnassus United Methodist Church.
