With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Ann Bishop Hamblin of Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Bishop and Will Bishop; her child Robin Graham; and her siblings, Ivan D. Bishop, Francis Altizer and Helen Linkous.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Hamblin; her daughters, Katherine Surface (Jerry) and Brenda Twiggs; her grandchildren, Lisa Shark (Chris) and JT; her great grandchildren, Chelsea Akers (Devon Viars), Harley Akers, Bennett Surface, Gretchen Surface, Patrick Surface, Corbin Surface and Aiden Surface; and her great great grandchild Presley Viars. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Sunset Cemetery (501 S Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073).
