With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vernon E. Helvey of Christiansburg, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Helvey and Margaret Williams Helvey; and his brother Charles L. "Chache" Helvey. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bower Helvey; his children, Kim Nolen (Greg) and Craig Helvey; his grandchildren, Veronica Helvey, Maranda Helvey and Levi Daniel Nolen; his great grandchild Maddox; and his sister Kathy Brogan. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws.
