It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Smith Thomas of Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Smith and John Smith; and her husband George Thomas. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Mary Messina (Steve), Brenda Nicewander and Wanda Duncan; and her siblings, Viola Howery, Diane Bolling (Scotty) and Leroy Smith (Linda). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
