He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Eugene Blake and Alma Lorene Blake; and his son Clinton Lee "Bud" Shannon. He is survived by: his wife Garnet June Blake; his children, Steven Blake II (Jane Rorrer), Elisha Blake Jeffrey (Richie), Sara Whitlow (Michael Edwards), Donna "Daizy" Richardson (Michael) and Charles Shannon Jr. (Julia); and his grandchildren, Bevin Dana Blake, Aralyn Opal Blake and Marshall Drew Jeffrey.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
