He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lacie'Bobby'Smith of Blacksburg and Rodney Bruce of Blacksburg; his daughter-in-law Lesa Smith of Blacksburg; his sister Evelyn Smith Hamilton; his nieces and nephews, Ben, John, Robert, Susan and Beth; his stepchildren, Lynwood Bailey and Sharon Herriges; his stepgranddaughters, Nikki Gibson and Sherri Davis; and his close friends, Jimmy, Jane, Tex, Joyce, Ruthie and Carlene Walters Smith Woolwine. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and cousins.
