It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Holmes Irvin of Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nathan Holmes and Verna Thomas Holmes; her husband David Irvin of Pulaski, VA; her daughter Davina Irvin; her brothers, Glen (Michele Holmes) and Larry (Donna Irvin); her sister-in-law Darlene Marchbanks; and her nieces and nephews, Charmaine Marchbanks Wells, Michelle Marchbanks, Paul Marchbanks, Jonathan Holmes, Kyanna Holmes and Desirée Holmes.

The family requests donations to the Christiansburg Institute Alumni Association in lieu of flowers at P.O. Box 433, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
