She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Owen Okes and Ruby Basham Okes; her husband Franklin Delano Scott; and her siblings, Leslie Carl Okes, Luther Ray Okes, William Hugh Okes and Wilma Okes Sheppard.
She is survived by: her children, Jed L. Scott (Margaret) of Salem, VA, Gary D. Scott (Melissa) of Salem, VA and Tammy S. King of Christiansburg, VA; her sister Wilda Linkous of Dublin, VA; and her grandchildren, Travis Scott (Monika), Ryan Capps (Taylor), Elizabeth Capps (Massih Saheli), Afton Manning (Alec), Scott King and Tori King.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
