With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred L. Edmonds Lawson of Christiansburg, Virginia, born in Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Edmonds and Edith Lawson Edmonds; her husband James Ralph Lawson, Sr.; her siblings, Lewis Edmonds and Aloma Whitlock (Daniel Whitlock); and her brother-in-law Clay Lawrence.
She is survived by: her children, James Ralph Lawson, Jr. (Kristen) and Shelly Shockley (Steve); her grandchildren, Victoria Shockley-Newton (Will) and Jackson Shockley (Ashlea Conner); her siblings, Garnett Edmonds (Bobbi), Charlotte Lawrence, Draper, Wanda Edmonds and Radford; and her sister-in-law Sibel Edmonds. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
