She is survived by: her sons, James Lee Carpenter, Jr. (Molly), Neil Carpenter (Jennifer) and Eric Carpenter (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Keefe Carpenter, Elsie Carpenter and Sarah Carpenter; and her siblings, James Neil Boyd, Jr. (Vickie), Mary Ellen Jenkins and Elizabeth Daniels. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
