He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter B. Minnick and Arlie Minnick; his siblings, Donald Minnick (Buck), Jack Minnick and Shelby Jean Thompson; and his granddaughter Allison Young.

He is survived by: his wife Nannie Dunn Minnick; his son Dennis; his daughter-in-law Cindy Minnick; his daughter Jennifer Minnick Young (Jody Martin); his grandsons, Jacob Minnick and Colton Young; and his siblings-in-law, Eloise Minnick, Ruby Starkey, Kenneth Thompson and Andrew Dunn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
