He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Ward and Mabel Francis Miller Harvey; his wife Kathleen Stump Harvey; and his son Dean Harvey. He is survived by: his friend Gail O. Day; his daughter Linda Dowdy; his siblings, Ethel Harvey, Betty Crawford, Mack Harvey and Wayne Harvey; his nephew Buster; his grandchildren, Christy (Greg) and John (John Reeder); and also, Patsy Day and Sam Jones. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
