While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Meller and Henry Meller; and her brother Jeffrey Meller. She is survived by: her children, Travis Van Schoyck (Sarah Hooson), Beth Nester (John) of Christiansburg, VA and Zachary Meller of Christiansburg, VA.; and her grandchildren, Abigail Grace and Kyle Grayson Nester.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073).
In lieu of flowers, Kris requested that donations be made to her favorite charities and organizations: Good Samaritan Hospice NRV, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ASPCA, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
