He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Woolwine and Rita Roseberry; his wife Kim Stafford Thompson; his children, Denise Thompson Reed (Bobby), Vanessa Thompson Moore (David), Naomi Thompson Lagan (Lee) and Drew Armstrong; his stepchildren, Josh Wolfe and Victoria Thorne (Matt); and his grandchildren, Derick Linkous, Zachary Moore, Ashley, Andrew, Conner, Rebekah and Lara Lagan.
