He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Atkins; his son-in-law Andy Eames; his daughter Lenora; his son-in-law Thomas Turner; his grandchildren, Gregory Atkins (Leah), Lara, Thomas Turner of Roanoke and Allison Turner of Charlottesville; his great grandchildren, Nahla and Gabriel Turner; his niece Dorothy Atkins Perdue (Maybrook); his sister-in-law Dora Atkins (June); and his caregivers, Becky, Amy, Rebekah, Leigh, Dayna, Tyler, Nancy, Sonya, Jason and Shelley.
