With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerome Rudisill Long (Christiansburg, Virginia), born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Beeken Long; his sons, Christopher T Long (Leslie) of Savannah, GA and Jeremy T Long of West Hartford, CT; his grandchildren, Hollis A Long of New York, NY, Andrew C Long of Statesboro, GA, David C Long of Savannah, GA and Jacob E Long of West Hartford, CT; his stepsons, John E Beeken of Cocoa Beach, FL, Jeffrey T Beeken (Wanda) of Pikeville, NC and Jason B Beeken (Melissa) of Rockledge, FL; and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Jerome would appreciate donations to St Paul's Methodist Church in Christiansburg, VA or another charity in his memory.
