He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Reed and Jim Miles; his son Joe; his grandson Jason; and his sister Barbara Duncan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his grandson Justin; his daughter-in-law Suzy (John); his siblings, Charles "Bo" Miles (Barbara) and Phyllis Sumner (Archie); his sister-in-law Shelby Starling of Florida; his pet Tipsy; and his caregiver Judy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
The family asks that if anyone would like to make a donation those donations be made to Carilion Clinic Hospice of the New River Valley.
