He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Simpkins and Mildred Simpkins; his sister Shelby Roberts; and his brother-in-law Bobby Roberts. He is survived by: his siblings, Sam Simpkins (Peggy) of Radford, Travis Simpkins (late Travis) of Christiansburg, Nelson Simpkins (Deborah) of Christiansburg, Don Simpkins of Christiansburg, Linda Smith (Bob) and Teresa Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
